Why Do You Need to Know about this Potential Market, Bangladesh?

This is the first time for PRM-TAIWAN to participate in an exhibition in Bangladesh, and we are quite unfamiliar with their local culture, so we did a lot of homework before departure. But the moment we landed, it was still a shock! 

The Bangladesh airport was crowded with people. The traffic in Bangladesh is even more congested. There are horses, tricycles, tuk-tuks, automobiles and motorcycles of all sizes crowded on the same road. We arrived at the local area after twelve o'clock in the evening, but there were still many cars coming and going on the road. Most of their dinner time is at 7 or 8 o’clock. Even at 9 o'clock, it is still very lively at night!

On the way to the exhibition, we also found that many buildings are being built on the road, the planning of the roads is gradually improving, and there are more and more street lights. The roads on both sides of the exhibition are still under construction, you can see that the city of Dhaka is beginning to develop. Even our customers have praised the amazing changes in Bangladesh in three years!

While at the exhibition, we found that when filling out the inquiry form through international buyers, many companies are just starting up, and they don’t know much about machines in the 3P industries, but they are eager to know more about the machine information. Bangladesh is about to become a developing country from a low-developed country, which is why we met many buyers at the exhibition who want to start or invest in this industry. 

When communicating with the exhibition staff, they also shared that because Bangladesh has a population of 160 million, in addition to their cheap labor, job opportunities cannot satisfy everyone, and because of this, they are working very hard. We also found that the local exhibition staff we invited this time are very cooperative and hardworking, they are extraordinarily kind and also quick learners. After participating in this exhibition, we even established a friendship with the exhibition staff! On the last day of our departure, we are extremely sad, and hope to have a chance to meet again in the future.

Bangladesh is a very powerful and full of potential market, this country is developing and growing rapidly. In the interviews with our customers, Bangladeshis prefer Taiwan machines as their suitable equipment for their business. As long as a good relationship is established, they won’t easily lose buyers due to the higher price. In addition to selling machines and products, after-sales and maintenance services are also very important, which is also one of the most important conditions for maintaining a good relationship with buyers!

Exhibition marketing is actually the fastest way to interact with buyers and collect local information. Through conversations with buyers, we can learn about their industrial scale and needs. This is also very helpful to many Taiwanese manufacturers to get in contact with the buyers.
