Chi Chang Machinery, Recovering and Serving Customers After the Beginning of Pandemic

During 2020, there were many challenges where most of industries didn’t know how to face it at the beginning. This 2021 has been different for most industries, since there was already one-year experience with the “new normality” of COVID-19.

2021 bring us different challenges, such as parts and components were harder to get on time, because the delivery time for some has increase over 6 months, also there is one that almost all industries have been affected by, and is shipping cost, since there was a never seen before increase in prices, which makes machine manufacturers and international customers hesitate or delay orders having expectations that shipping cost will decrease to normal prices.

For example, shipping cost from Taiwan to the USA has increased 3 times, Taiwan to South East Asia up to 30%, every place has different problems, not only prices but also book space on vessels became really hard for most companies, sometimes needed to wait months, depending where the machinery is going to be shipped.

For CCM this year has been very productive, and a great opportunity to have tight relationship with current customers, and also open new markets that before pandemic there was not much business opportunities, after 10 years without focusing on Russia market, this year already started to develop business, this is a great example how CCM is able to adapt to different adverse situations.

This year in July 2021, Chi Chang built a PP Sheet Line for a world famous group, Total Petrochemical.
The machine has just been installed at its factory in Houston, USA, running in-line with a Thermoforming Machine built by a world famous company, ILLIG, Germany to produce drinking cups.

Total Group will invite their worldwide customers to visit this factory to see the production.
Total is selling its raw material to customers and at the same time, Total will promote Chi Chang machine to their customers. It is a great opportunity for Chi Chang Machinery to raise its reputation and sell more machines to the world market.

Another example of customer trust is one customer from UK, 20 years ago they bought their first machine, until now they already purchase 4 Air Bubble Film Extrusion Line, this customer produce Swimming Pool protectors, the main reason they decided to cooperate with Chi Chan Machinery is thanks to the high expertise in machine customization and the quality of the finished product, which its output is perfect, as peanut shape, which only CCM can do it worldwide.
