Liquid Injection Molding (LIM) and Transfer Molding are preferred processes for manufacturing solid silicone rubber items used in a wide range of applications such as medical equipment, watersports, gas masks, military gear, waterproof device cases, 3C products and much more. MATERIALS: Shin Etsu / Dow Corning/ GE Silicones ADVANTAGES & APPLICATIONS: Low viscosity and lower injection pressure, good for silicon molding Good chemical stability and environmental protection High dimensional accuracy It produces high quality parts without secondary finishing and allows much shorter production cycles than other processes. Over-molding together with hard plastic frame (PC or ABS etc.) for waterproof devices, shock proofing, shielding, etc. Very thin wall design (0.25mm thick around) for silicone to adhere on plastic housing (rib) to meet the demand of low profile product design. Water proof feature can be secured by the combination of soft rubber contacts and with constant pressure provided by hard plastic housing (rib).

TOOLINGS FOR OPTIMAL PERFORMANCE AND RELIABILITY The core of the injection molding process is the tooling. In regard to their design and manufacture, the high-end machinery used is absolutely essential. This is why Yomura introduced a state-of-the-art and fully-automated system works 24/7 to fabricate the toolings and makes no compromises with respect to quality – and conceives and produces high-precision, custom made fast cycling injection toolings in house. MANUFACTURING CAPABILITY Tooling Automatic Fabrication Key points: All Process and measurement data are connected to minimize men key in error. All work piece are implanted with RFID chip to minimize men error. Pre-set 2D and 3D are used before and after process to ensure the work piece are manufactured to the 100% accuracy. Productivity will be expected to increased at least 30 % monthly.
Butyl rubber - IIR

Butyl rubber (IIR, Isobutylene Isoprene Rubber) is a synthetic rubber, a copolymer of isobutylene and a small amount of isoprene. After modification, it can derive brominated butyl rubber and chlorinated butyl rubber products. Butyl rubber has excellent chemical resistance and resistance to polar fluids, outstanding electrical insulation and good ozone resistance. Its special properties are low gas and moisture permeability and high shock absorption.

With the advent of 3D printing, rapid prototyping can now be done quickly and affordably. YOMURA TECHNOLOGIES is equipped with a high end, Digital Light Processor 3D printer built by Carima, a South Korean company with over 30 years of optical manufacturing experience. Unlike Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) 3D printing which heats a plastic filament then squeezes it through a nozzle to print one layer at a time, DLP uses a special light wave to activate a chemical reaction in a photopolymer resin which then cures into solid 3D object.
